Monday, May 28, 2012 - Bergenfield Memorial Day Parade - Report time is 1pm at Franklin School.  You will be dismissed from Lincoln School at approximately 4pm following uniform collection.  

Report in uniform, but please bring your garment bag with you, as it will be checked-in and collected prior to the parade.

 On the day of the parade and the previous day, be sure to drink plenty of water for hydration.  We will be stopping midway for water, but the best preparation is to hydrate in advance of the event.  Dress lightly underneath the uniform, but be advised that we will be collecting the uniforms at the end of the parade.  You must wear clothing underneath that is suitable as outerwear (t-shirt and light nylon shorts are suggested).

The band trailer will be packed with all percussion instruments, marching tubas, baritone saxes, and color guard items on Thursday, May 24 at 3pm.  Please be sure you are available to load if you use this equipment.

Example:

John Smith - My coordinate is B12.

Color Guard will receive their coordinate from Mr. DeLucia and need not email anyone.

Percussion will receive their coordinate from Mr. Brown.  Please email your band director with your marching percussion instrument instead of coordinate.

Anyone not listed will perform as an alternate in the event of an absence.

Highlights of our performance at the North Jersey Band Festival at Montclair State University will be shown on MSG Varsity on Thanksgiving Day at 5pm.  Tune in or DVR the show!

Also, three members of our band will be performing in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with the Macy's Great American Marching Band.  Tune in on Thanksgiving Day to see Lindsay Philpott, Annalisa Podwin, and Alexis Toledo dance with the band.

Report time will be 10:00am.  We will warmup, rehearse and run-thru the show outside until 11:15am.  Lunch break will be held from 11:15am to 12:15pm.  Report to the band room in full uniform at 12:15pm for 1pm kickoff.  Senior recognition will be held at halftime.

This will be the last football game and field show performance of the 2011 season.

Our Fall Concert, featuring an indoor performance of "The Sound of Music" show in the auditorium will be held on Tuesday evening, November 22.  The entire marching band will participate.  The Senior Recognition ceremony will be held this evening.

Report time will be 12:00pm in full uniform.  We will meet outside on the side field in the attendance block.  Please eat before you arrive, except students taking SATs who may eat on the bus.  The game time is 2:00pm.  We will perform first at halftime at approximately 3pm.  

Our anticipated return time is 6:00pm.  We will meet in the band room after the performance to distribute forms for two upcoming events.

SAT Students ONLY:

We will delay our departure until 15 minutes after the SATs at Bergenfield finish.  Please get changed into your uniform immediately after you are dismissed from the test and report to the buses.  In the event the SATs are delayed beyond 12:30pm, we will leave one bus behind for late test-takers.

Please be reminded that there will be a football game on the weekend of Friday, 11/11 or Saturday, 11/12.  The date, time and location of this game will be announced on Monday, 11/7 at 3pm.  Your attendance is expected and is mandatory.

Depending on the outcome of the final games, we may have football playoff games on the weekends of 11/18 or 11/19 and 12/2 or 12/3.

Please be reminded that there are football games on November 5 (away at Passaic Valley HS) and the weekend of Friday, 11/11 or Saturday, 11/12 (TBA).  The date, time and location of the TBA game will be announced no later than Monday, 11/7 at 3pm.  Your attendance is expected and is mandatory.

The annual Elementary School Performance/Veteran's Day Ceremony will be held on Friday 11/4.  You will be excused from classes to perform for this event.  You will need your uniform in school that day.
