Due to forecasted rain and the potential for thunderstorms, the North Jersey Band Festival at Montclair has been postponed until the rain date of Sunday, November 6.
Montclair tickets are on sale in the Charms Store! Per North Jersey Band Festival policy, each band member MUST sell at least TWO tickets. Ask your family, friends, teachers, etc.... Bergenfield always sells the most tickets in the festival!!! If you sell at least 6 tickets, your Olive Garden meal after Montclair is free.
Tickets are $10 from band members, but $15 at the gate AND we don't get credit. Buy tickets in advance through Charms. All online sales should be completed by Friday evening for distribution on Saturday.

Monday, October 31 - Rehearsal cancelled for Halloween
Tonight's rehearsal is cancelled. Enjoy your Halloween. Be safe, and remember that BHS Marching Band uniforms are NOT Halloween costumes. Violations will be dealt with very severely.
Wednesday, November 2 - Rehearsal
Rehearsal from 3:15pm to 6pm at BHS.
Friday, November 4 - Pep Band at Pascack Valley and Montclair Decorating - Take 2!
All students should take instruments home today. Band room will be closed on Saturday.
Pep band call time is 4:30pm in full uniform (minus hats). After the game, seniors will re-decorate the band room for Montclair.
Saturday, November 5 - Rehearsal (SATs in the morning)
Rehearsal from 1pm to 4pm on the main field after SAT testing has finished.
This date was reserved as an "if needed" date on the Band Letter.
Sunday, November 6 -70th Annual North Jersey Band Festival at Montclair State University
Report time is 12:00pm to main field in full uniform for warm-up and run-thru. Feel free to bring a bag lunch and snack.
Following the run-thru, we will head into the band room for pre-Montclair festivities, which must conclude by 2:45pm. Our departure time for Montclair is 3:00pm sharp.
Upon arrival at MSU, we will report to the trailer for instruments, then line up and enter the stadium in pre-game twos. We are seated on the back sideline this year. Sandwiches will be distributed. We perform 13th out of 17 bands at approximately 7pm. The estimated conclusion of the festival is 8:30pm.
Following the festival, we will load and depart for the Olive Garden. This is a private event closed to the general public. Following dinner, I will send out a Remind text with the estimated pick-up time at BHS. We will return to BHS, meet briefly in the Band Room, and then dismiss. This is generally a late night, so be sure to complete all assignments, inform your family of the late arrival time, and be in school ON TIME on Monday morning. Eating after Montclair is a privilege we have had for many years. Don't ruin the tradition by being irresponsible. If anyone has any questions, please email me.
Monday, November 7 - Post Montclair Lunch Meeting/Cheesecake Day/Tentative Rehearsal
We will meet in the auditorium during lunch to review the Montclair tapes and video and enjoy treats. Please bring or pre-order lunch so we can begin immediately at 11:40am. Be neat in the auditorium.
After school, cheesecake distribution will take place in the front and side cafeterias. Please be patient and arrange for transportation. The music department sold $120,000 worth of cheesecake items.
We will have rehearsal at RWB this evening from 7-9pm to prepare for the Veteran's Day performance at BHS on Wednesday, November 9. Students doing instrument demonstrations for the elementary school portion of the event should report at 6:30pm to play for the staff.
Wednesday, November 9 - Veterans Day/Elementary School Performance
Bring full uniforms to school today. Four uniform racks (senior, junior, sophomore, freshmen) will be placed in the hallway or stage to hang them up neatly.
After lunch, dress into uniforms, get instruments, and report to side field in warm-up arcs by 12:40pm. We will line up in pregame twos on the side field at 12:55pm. The Veterans Day performance will include the SSB, Taps (J. Podwin) and America, the Beautiful. Following the veterans portion, we will do our instrument demonstrations and perform the field show for the elementary school students in grades 3-5.
Following the performance, we will rehearse briefly, including the no-senior run-thru.
Further schedule information, including MetLife on November 12 and football playoffs, will be posted as it is finalized.
